This knife is quite sharp by itself but i'm sure with further sharpening with a water stone, it'll reach unattainable levels . The only thing about this knife is that starchy vegetables have a tendency to stick to the side of the knife while cutting them. But otherwise , it's a really good knife. Bang for your buck.

I bought 2 G-2 knives, one for my mum and one for my girl friend. They loved them. It is the sharpest knives they have ever used and makes cutting and preparing vegetables and meats a lot more enjoyable.

Bought the Global Chefs Knife G-2 for my son for Xmas. He is very happy with it, as a chef's apprentice has other knives, but this is his prefered knife. Easy to use, well balanced. Will be giving him more Global knives in the future.

Ever since discovering Global Knives, I've always considered their knives first! This G2 knife is very well balanced, not too heavy at the tip or base, nor is the blade excessively long - great for everyday use. I've never felt any fatigue from using this knife and it slices almost effortlessly through meats, tomatoes (even sundried ones) and carrots. I do recommend pairing this knife with a good quality sharpener to keep it in tip top shape, but it does keep its edge very well. Great value, highly recommended.

This knife has been a pleasure to use. Very versatile and a great all round addition to our utensil collection. We use it regularly on vegetables and meats and after 3 months have barley noticed any wear. Well worth the purchase!
