Most modern knives including similiar ranges from Wusthof Trident and Zwilling Henckel now use a forging method called "Upwelling" because it is a cheaper manufacturing process. Solicut is one of the few remaining knives on the market 100% fully forged for total strength and quality control.
Who doesn't know the class chef's knife. Designed for daily use, these knives become an extension of your hand. Unlike most modern versions these are still 100% forged in Solingen.
As the name suggests, this is the most widely recognised style of forged knife. It has a heavy forged front bolster that runs down to the bottom of the blade, and has a full tang that runs the length of the handle. The triple riveted poly resin handle is a favourite with health regulations. As with all Solicut's forged ranges this is fully forged from one piece of steel.
